My approach
What looks like resistance may be useful information about risk, identity or a promise people think is being broken.
Frontline experience is operational intelligence. It belongs in the conversation early enough to shape the outcome.
A strong session creates insight. A worthwhile one also leaves people with practical strategies, useful tools and tips they can put to work—along with decisions, ownership and a next step they understand.
Experience that understands the room
My career spans more than three decades in state and local government, with leadership roles in city management, parks and recreation, organizational planning and community relations.
I’ve served as a City Administrator, Assistant and Deputy City Manager, Parks and Recreation Director, and interim leader. Those roles taught me how policy, operations, politics and people meet—and how to help groups move forward when they don’t align easily.
For 10 years, I’ve also consulted alongside my public service career, supporting public and private organizations including cities, counties, sanitation districts, state agencies and health insurance companies. I bring that inside perspective and outside view to facilitation, coaching, leadership development and practical problem solving.

I believe good facilitators stay curious. Mine has taken me from public meeting rooms to skydiving over Moorea—and both have reinforced the value of preparation, perspective and knowing when to take the leap.
